Social Functions

We invite you to participate in the social events being held as part of the Congress.

Welcome Reception
As the first official social event of the Congress, the Welcome Reception will provide you with the opportunity to relax and enjoy the company of colleagues and friends.

Dress code: Smart casual
Cost: Included for all full registrations. Additional tickets can be purchased for €TBC inc VAT per person
Early/Mid-Career Researcher Networking Drinks
Following the day of sessions, join your fellow EMCR’s for a relaxing drink at location TBC. This event has been arranged to follow the day’s Congress sessions and before you may be head out for dinner, as a great chance to meet new colleagues and make valuable connections. 
For reference, Early Career is defined as:
  • For Clinicians and Allied Health Professionals (eg physiotherapists/dieticians/psychologists): within six years of independent practice (full time equivalent)
  • For Scientists (including Social Scientists): within eight years of their PhD award (this is from the time of the PhD ‘Viva’/’defense’) or equivalent professional training (full time equivalent)
Mid Career is defined as: 
  • TBC

Dress code: Smart casual
Cost: Included for all full Early/Mid Career Researcher registrations. Additional tickets cannot be purchased for this function. 
Inclusions: Limited bar service (then drinks on cash basis) 
Congress Celebration
The Congress will hold a Celebration event on Friday evening at one of Istanbul's most iconic venues.
